"Charleston ....most mannerly city in America"
Charleston won the top spot again for the eleventh year in a row according to etiquette expert Marjabelle Young Stewart's annual list of "The most mannerly city in America" started 26 years ago. Her list comes from thousands of faxes, phone calls, e-mails and letters from travelers and residents extolling the virtues of various cities.
Charleston has made the list every year it has been compiled.
